The Verve - Forth

After a long eight-year hiatus, English rock band The Verve regrouped in mid-2007 to the delight of their worldwide fans. Having given us three superb albums - A Storm in Heaven, A Northern Soul and Urban Hymns - the first thing on the mind of music lovers was when were The Verve going to wow us once again with a brand new album, one that would be the most highly anticipated in the band's history.
Well, the wait is over -- The Verve's newest album is appropriately titled "Forth" and features 'Love Is Noise', an up-tempo track with a great hook and the unique voice of frontman Richard Ashcroft.
Their latest effort was released in the US on August 19th, and 23rd in Australia on the band's own label On Your Own, which is run by the Verve's management company Big Life. Featuring ten spanking new tracks, the immense chemistry and sense of spontaneity that the four-piece band still has despite an absence of almost a decade is clearly still evident in their music.
