Swallowing a microphone
July 15th 2008 02:06
While it might seem like a good idea to have the microphone on a stand, there are all kinds of microphone-related accidents that can happen. This is a bizarre, hilarious video of a wedding singer getting a big surprise.
It's probably better to hire a DJ... there's no way a DJ could swallow a record or a turntable. Even safer would be a mime, but the silence at your wedding would probably irritate the guests into mime-directed violence.
I had a friend that picked up a little wedding DJ work, but he had to quit because it was making him nauseous. All those requests, the soap opera fits, the drunkenness... it's too much for a person to take.
One time, the groom put on an Ice Cube song, and the bride's family, pure country & western, did not like that one bit.
Still, a little bit of irritation is a small price to pay to keep your throat microphone-free!
