Cancel Splendour and Sideshows
Due to the rescheduling of the next Tings Tings album to later in 2010 the band sadly have decided to delay their Australian tour, this of course means they will not be able to play Splendour in the Grass or their Sydney and Melbourne sideshows.
Refunds to the Melbourne and Sydney sideshows will be available. All tickets purchased for the Melbourne and Sydney concerts using a credit card will be automatically refunded. Any patrons that bought tickets with cash will need to return to the point of purchase with photo ID to obtain a cash refund.

Organisers would like to advise that Splendour In The Grass event-camping and event-only tickets to the 2010 three day event, taking place Friday 30 July through and Sunday 1 August at Woodfordia, QLD, have completely sold out.
We are overwhelmed by the demand for Splendour tickets, we cant keep up with it! If you missed out on tickets today don't despair, we’ve got some news that will cheer you up.
From May 31st those who bought Splendour in the Grass tickets but can no longer attend will have the option to offer them for re-sale (less booking and admin fees) via moshtix.com.au so that those who didn’t secure a ticket in the general release have a chance to grab one.

We'd also like to thank the audience members who purchased a Carbon Offset Ticket allowing them to offset some or all of their travel emissions. Carbon credits purchased through Climate Friendly on their behalf will come from accredited andnew renewable wind energy projects. All Climate Friendly projects are independently verified and audited. Once again Splendour in the Grass audience members play a pivotal role in reducing the festival's environmental footprint.
A reminder to all SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS ticket holders that photo identification, which corresponds with the name printed on each individual ticket, must be presented upon arrival at Splendour In The Grass for entry to the event.
Ticketholders are also reminded that all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 25 years or older whilst at the festival, whether in the campground or the entertainment area.
Splendour Tickets are strictly non-transferable, which means names on tickets cannot be changed by the purchaser. Also, there are no refunds on tickets. However, a ticket resale facility will be offered via moshtix.com.au from Mon May 31st until 5pm Tues 27th July 2010.

SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS, one of Australia’s most celebrated music festivals is set to commemorate its 10-year anniversary with its most exciting event yet.It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since the little event called SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS made its debut in Byron Bay.
The mid winter event which consistently featured quality music acts alongside quirky arts and counter-culture was quickly embraced by music lovers.
In the ensuing years SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS has featured a spectacular collection of awesome artists from around the globe and has reached icon status, with tickets selling out within minutes of going on sale.
Fast-forward to 2010 and the beautiful site of Woodfordia in the QLD Sunshine Coast hinterland will play host to SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS in this very special anniversary year.
And this year, the birthday party will take place over three magnificent days from Friday July 30th to Sunday August 1st 2010.

This year, for the first time, they're going to serve up their much-anticipated line-up on one big, fat platter instead of a little here and a little there.
That’s more than 80 acts that will perform across our three main stages – the Amphitheatre, Mix Up tent and G.W McLennan stage. But first, you need details on the all-important event ticket and camping information, which has changed for the 2010 event.
The capacity at Woodfordia is 30,000, with enough room on site for 20,000 campers. As a result, there will be a combined event and camping ticket available for the first time.
The event/camping ticket will provide access to the campgrounds from Wednesday 28th July with the actual event site opening 4pm Thursday 29th July until 12 midday on Monday 2nd August.
The Amphitheatre, Mix Up and McLennan stages will be operating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.
The Woodfordia campground will be the most convenient and affordable place to stay during the event. All you need is on site in their splendid mini-city, right on your grassy doorstep.
Come join the organisers, crew, staff and many of the artists who will also be camping out under the stars.Those who are not camping with can purchase an event-only ticket that will provide entry to the festival from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August.
However, organisers strongly recommend that you do your research before choosing this option. Unless you’re lucky enough to live nearby or can stay with somebody who does, then you will need to be prepared to travel quite a distance each day from other centres of accommodation.
They will again give audience members the opportunity to offset their travel emissions to and from SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS given the overwhelming response to this unique environmental initiative in the past. They're sure that the carbon crusading audience members will continue to fight the good fight.

UK duo the Ting Tings will not be landing in Australia later this month. The band have announced that they are "delaying" their visit, and whilst no specific reason was given, the duo are currently holed up in a Berlin studio finishing up a new record, the follow up to 2008's We Started Nothing.
This means of course that the band will not be playing Splendour in the Grass, nor performing their sideshows scheduled for Monday 26th July at Melbourne's Palace Theatre, Melbourne and Wednesday 28th July at Sydney's Enmore Theatre.

it sounds fantastic...wish I was going, and felt a resilient 20 again, not a decrepit 54! I think I'd need a large mobile home and padded deck chairs to survive an event like this these days.
I did go to one for a day once, about ten years ago, it was in Victoria, in the hills, nice area, but the organizers didn't get enough publicity and it folded after the first day, Brown Hornet played however, they were good. But we were just a handful of people among maybe fifty others, a financial disaster for the festival. I think they were relying on word of mouth, which is stupid since it was the first time it was staged.
