Michael Jackson's Billie Jean Live
March 10th 2008 10:39
With all this talk of Michael Jackson having to sell the Ranch and being so scarred from plastic surgery that he's had to stay out of the public eye, it's a good time to remember why Jackson was a household name.
The man was a musical genius - able to write and perform with the best of them, then include dance moves that made him seem ethereal.
Here's a reminder: Jackson in his glory days, performing before a massive, screaming crowd.
Things to take away from this footage:
1) Jackson was a master of controlling the crowd... watch the opening, timed perfectly and drawn out to make the fans shriek as much as possible. A showman on the level of James Brown.
2) The video cuts away to the crowd often, giving us glimpses of sexy women, panting, cheering and screaming for Jackson. Midway, there's even a group of three that look like the song's about to tip them into a messy orgy.
3) He's obviously lip synching, which takes away from the enjoyment for me. I suppose it'd be difficult to dance and sing.

One child molester and one wife beater. A perfect pair - they should've done a duet.

Too bad he doesn't like women. Or adults for that matter.
Sorry to be so harsh, but I can't fathom how when a star commits crimes like these, people will still praise them. As far as I'm concerned, their art should be shunned afterwards - especially if their crime involves molesting children.
People are always saying what a genius MJ was, but I don't see it. He was ok in my opinion. But that said, his isn't really my style of music, so I can't really comment on that. I know that, now, I can't listen to it without cringing.
Then there's the whole Paul McCartney situation, which isn't at all alleged. If you ask me, him (potentially) losing his ranch and being exiled to wherever he is is karma.
