Kids in the Hall to start touring in North America
March 26th 2008 02:31
They're almost 40, but the Kids in the Hall are getting back together for a reunion tour of Canada and the United States.
It was a hugely influential Canadian sketch comedy group, and I used to watch the show with my friends, cackling with glee, forming my claylike mind into their odd, surreal sense of humour.
They didn't have wide appeal - certainly, my father didn't like the show, as the cast members would regularly dress up in drag to play female characters, much like Monty Python, and at least one of the members was openly homosexual.
Still, I have to attribute some small part of my genius to the Kids, who came up with ridiculous characters, like the Head Crusher and Cabbage Head, but brought it all together somehow.
TSOYA has a list of the tour dates - if they'll be in your city, you'd best go down and see them.
Can you enjoy this as much as I do?
