US songstress Katy Perry has taken the music charts by storm with her worldwide no.1 smash hit single "I Kissed A Girl", a seriously infectious and catchy number that deals with sexual orientation and to a certain extent, promiscuity as well.
Deemed controversial by some for the nature of the song's lyrics, the controversy has only heightened the song and Perry's popularity in countries such as the US, Canada and Australia with "I Kissed A Girl" topping the local charts respectively.
The song is the second hit single to appear on Perry's sophomore album One Of The Boys (Perry's first studio album featured Christian songs only) and eclipses the success of her debut single "Ur So Gay" which has been hailed by some, including Madonna, while frowned upon by those who conclude the song has homophobic connotations.
Other recommended tracks include the album's third single "Hot N Cold", "Mannequin," and "Thinking Of You".
