A recently launched Melbourne-based company, LittleBirdyTix (LBT) revives interest in the Australian arts and entertainment industry by providing an online portal for promoters to offer tickets to their shows that can then be snapped up for free by a dedicated membership.
How it works:
Festivals, artists, venues, producers, publicists and promoters who wish to publicise a show, increase word-of-mouth and develop a new captive audience offer an allocation of free tickets on LittleBirdyTix.com a service which is provided at no charge.
Yearly payment of $55 for loads of shows!
LittleBirdyTix.com is in the initial launch phase; concentrated on the Melbourne arts and entertainment scenes, however they are now launching in Adelaide with the Garden of Unearthly Delights for the Adelaide Fringe. Next on the agenda are plans for the site to encompass the whole of Australia.
"The secret to LittleBirdyTix.com is that it's a win-win situation for both the promoters and the people looking to attend the shows," explains founder Ronit Fazekas.
LittleBirdyTix.com is not a ticketing system; instead, it's a portal for connecting events with potential audiences, promoting events and driving sales. Once a free supply of tickets has been exhausted, a promoter has the option to add a URL to their listing, directing members from the LittleBirdyTix.com site to the promoter's ticketing page.
Currently there is a wide variety of promoters, from all genres, featured in The Garden that have signed up to LittleBirdyTix.com - Eddie Ifft, Limbo, Le Gateau Chocolate, The Chipolatas, Gossling, Laura Hill, The Magnets and more...
