Alice Cooper - Along Came A Spider
July 29th 2008 23:12
Over the past forty odd years, US rock singer, songwriter and musician, Alice Cooper, has become one of most beloved heavy metal entertainers in the world for both his shock rock music and witty persona.
Despite having turned 60 earlier this year, age has not dimmed Cooper's passion for music - nor his love for golf for that matter - and today, he releases his 25th studio and 30th album overall, titled 'Along Came A Spider'. Co-produced by Danny Saber (Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie, and Madonna) and Greg Hampton, the album is a classic Cooperesque "love story" about Spider, a serial killer. His trademark is wrapping his victims in silk, and his victims are specifically chosen to feed his hunger to kill. But, upon meeting his (possibly) last victim, he falls in love with her and cannot kill to complete his plan. That could be his demise.
Cooper himself wrote and co-wrote the album's songs with the co-producers.
