A Sad Day...
February 21st 2007 16:03
Today sees the official announcement from Fortuna POP! records that both Finlay and Sodastream have decided to stop making music together. F-POP! sez:
"Comrades,
We’ll start with the sad news that two of our bands, Finlay and Sodastream, have
decided to call it a day. Finlay made two cracking albums for Fortuna POP!,
although, as anyone who witnessed Adam’s duck walk along the bar of the Buffalo
Bar on Friday will testify, it was the sheer charisma of their live act that
really made them special. We were also lucky enough to release two of
Sodastream’s four studio albums (frankly we just assumed they were slumming it
for a while before inking a deal with a major) and we will always have fond
memories of their recent uk tour when they played some simply astounding shows.
We’re sorry to see both bands go but pleased to have worked with them for a
while and to count Adam, Anamik, Giles, Chris, Lorna, Pete and Karl as friends."
Boo! Hiss! Don't split up! Make more records! Ah, that's not going to help...
Expect some gushing PM tributes to both bands very very soon. BYE GUYS. PM LOVES YOU FOREVER!
